BlueN is a nutrient efficiency biostimulant containing a natural bacteria, Methylobacterium symbioticum, that acquires nitrogen from the air and converts it into ammonium inside the plant.
BlueN provides a sustainable, supplemental source of nitrogen that reduces dependency of nitrogen uptake from the soil and ensures the plant has access to nitrogen all season long.

About BlueN
BlueN offers a unique way to facilitate plants to capture nitrogen throughout the season.
BlueN is a foliar applied biostimulant composed of an exclusive strain of naturally occurring endophytic bacteria, Methylobacterium symbioticum. This bacterium uses methanol given off by the plant during metabolic processes as an energy source to acquire atmospheric nitrogen and convert it to ammonium inside the plant. Ammonium is used to make essential amino acids fundamental for plant growth.
When applied, BlueN enters the plant through the stomata. BlueN concentrates mainly in areas of growth in and around plant leaf cells. Broadly, BlueN will take about 1 week to colonise a plant and will acquire the equivalent to 3 kg/ha of applied nitrogen per week thereafter, usually about 30 kg/ha per season (10-week crop). Therefore, once colonised, BlueN provides the plant with a sustainable supplemental source of nitrogen throughout the season.

Provides a sustainable source of nitrogen
Increasing nitrogen fertiliser does not necessarily result in more nitrogen becoming available to the plant; nitrogen fertiliser is subject to loss and is not always available when your crop needs it.
BlueN provides a supplementary and sustainable source of nitrogen, without the risk of leaching or releasing additional greenhouse gases. Not only does BlueN reduce the dependency of nitrogen fertiliser uptake from the soil, BlueN ensures that the plant has access to nitrogen all season long.
Crops
BlueN nutrient efficiency biostimulant is an effective solution for a range of crops. BlueN is intended for foliar application on authorised crops when at least 50% of the ground is covered by the crop. See the label for specific crops.
